Summer Batten, MCMHC, LPC Candidate

Psychotherapist

Philosophy
To be vulnerable is to be courageous–Allowing ourselves to be authentically known and remaining curious leads to a deeper understanding of who we are at our very core. That being said, I am deeply committed to creating a comfortable and inviting therapeutic space where clients feel wholeheartedly accepted and tenderly cared for. By walking alongside clients, I aim to help clients process through their feelings and experiences in order to live a more fulfilling life.

I provide therapy through a holistic approach that considers mind, body, and spirit. I am always seeking to provide clients with unconditional encouragement. I utilize various, evidence-based therapeutic modalities that best align with each client’s therapeutic goals—Some of these therapeutic approaches include Internal Family Systems, Trust Based Relational Intervention, psychodynamic elements, as well as somatic interventions. With practical therapeutic tools and a compassionate therapeutic setting, I believe that true healing can begin.

Education and Credentials
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCCANDIDATE11905) and am in the process of accruing hours towards licensure. I graduated with a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on International Business and Supply Chain Management from the University of Oklahoma.

Professional Experience and Areas of Practice
The populations I serve best range from adolescents to middle-aged adults. These individuals may be experiencing anxiety, depression, boundary issues, trauma, self-worth issues, grief, and postpartum concerns.
