Shelby Massey, Ph.D.

Post-Doctoral Resident

Dr. Massey sees the therapeutic journey as one that takes courage. She believes that true healing begins in a space where you feel deeply seen, respected, and understood. Her goal is to collaborate with you to create a welcoming, curious environment where hope, trust, and meaningful personal growth can take root.

Dr. Massey’s therapeutic approach is depth-oriented and relationally dynamic. Rather than just managing surface-level symptoms, she works to explore the deeper relational patterns, personal history, and inner dynamics that shape how you experience the world. To meet your unique goals and priorities, she integrates a variety of evidence-based interventions tailored specifically to your needs. Central to her work is a deep commitment to cultural humility and honoring intersectionality. Recognizing that mental health does not exist in isolation, Dr. Massey honors how well-being is deeply impacted by the social constructs, systemic forces, and diverse identities experienced every day. Her work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and an ongoing dedication to understanding your world from your unique perspective.

Dr. Massey’s prior clinical experiences have been supporting adults across both university counseling centers and private practice settings. She has walked alongside clients navigating a wide range of personal and clinical concerns, and is dedicated to helping you discover the path forward that feels most authentic to you.
