Philosophy
Betina’s philosophy on mental health and therapy centers around the profound impact of relationships. She believes that true healing occurs in the context of safe, supportive connections, where individuals can openly share their experiences without fear of judgment. Education and Credentials
Betina is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma City University. During her internship in a community mental health setting, she specialized in trauma-informed care, integrating principles from attachment theory, mindfulness, and somatic awareness into her therapeutic practice. With 15 years of experience as a yoga instructor, Betina has completed extensive training in mindful movement and meditation, further enriching her holistic approach to wellness. Betina has also completed training in EMDR and uses this modality to both resource individuals and to help process difficult experiences and feelings.

Professional Experience and Areas of Practice
Betina has experience working with families, adolescents, adults, and couples. She has supported individuals grappling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational challenges, as well as those navigating parenting issues. Additionally, she has employed the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) approach to foster healthier family dynamics and promote healing between parents and children.

Rates
